Parish Meeting 27th January 2021

Thanks to everyone who attended the Parish Meeting on the 27th January, again via Zoom.

As previously announced, Rachel was having to step down as chair as she was moving away and Rachel formally resigned at the meeting. Helen Howard was nominated as the new chair and was elected unanimously. We also had new positions of vice-chair and treasurer that were filled by Andrew Carley and Graham Lawes respectively, again elected unanimously.

We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Rachel for serving as our chair and working so hard for our parish. We would also like to thank Helen for standing as our new chair and wish her the very best of luck.

Parish Meeting 25th November 2020

Thanks to everyone that attended the Parish Meeting on 25th November, again online.

As noted previously, we need to elect a new chair and unfortunately no new nominations have been made. Our current chair, Rachel Kelly, agreed to be re-elected as a temporary measure until a new chair can be found or alternative arrangements made. A date to re-convene, primarily to elect a new chair was agreed as 27th January 2021.

Parish Meeting 23rd September 2020

Thanks to everyone who attended the online Parish Meeting on the 23rd September. The minutes of the previous meeting on 25th November 2019 and the accounts for 2019-2020 were agreed and both have been posted on the website.

Sadly, our current chair Rachel Kelly advised that she will have to step down as she will be relocating out of the area and so a new chair will need to be elected. Unfortunately, no nominations were received so a meeting has been proposed for 25th November to either elect a new chair or discuss the alternatives if no nominations are received.

Covid 19 restrictions

Due to restrictions put in place due to the global Covid 19 pandemic, Parish Meetings will have to be suspended. Once further clarification has been obtained, in particular regarding the holding of online meetings, new arrangements will be put in place. Residents on the mailing list will be informed by email and notices will be put up in the parish.

June 2019 Update

Thank you to all those that were able to attend our last Parish Meeting and AGM on May 14th 2019 and for those that sent their apologies.

It was fantastic to hear that this website is a resource that is welcomed by you all and I’m busily learning how to become a better content creator!

The draft minutes from our last meeting are now available through the minutes section. Thanks to Gill for typing them up so quickly

The focus for the coming months will be to make the website as engaging as possible. Please email me any photos that you’d like me to upload and thank you very much for the welcome and kind offers of support in helping build out the content of the site.

I will also be following up improving the bus shelter in Clothall and providing a Noticeboard for Luffenhall. As well as submitting the annual accounts to our external Auditors.

Best Wishes, Rachel
